第17屆智慧鐵人創意競賽決賽於7/28正式開幕，共計35隊隊伍晉級決賽，其中包含了斯里蘭卡、俄羅斯、馬來西亞、香港、智利等10支國際隊伍，將進行連續72 小時不間斷的闖關活動，並完成主軸任務。

The 17th Intelligent Ironman Creativity Contest came to the final stage from 27th July. There are totally thirty-six teams getting into the final stage, including Sri Lanka,Russia,Malaysia,Hong Kongand Chile. And they are going to break through72-hour non-stop competition.

屏東科技大學以農業發展為主，面對氣候變遷、勞動力的短缺以及食品安全等問題，期望學生能展現出不同以往的創意發想，培育全方位、多面向的人才。校長戴昌賢表示，智慧鐵人創意競賽恰巧符合屏科大未來發展方向，希望藉由這次的比賽，達到觀摩以及學習的效用，並期許同學可以在創意與跨領域的合作下，可以發揮巧思來面對未來的農業問題。

National Pingtung University of Science and Technology （NPUST）is deoended on agriculture. Facing on problem of climate change,labor shortageand food safety, NPUST expecting there students to show their creative and cultivation of talent. The principal of NPUST Chang-Hsien Tai said that Intelligent Ironman Creativity Contest coincidentally meets the NPUST’s future development. They wish they can empathic learning during this context. Expecting students can using their creativity and cooperate with other field to save the agriculture problems.

在開幕式中，屏東科技大學副校長段兆麟也提到，智慧鐵人創意競賽不只考驗小鐵人們的智力、體力，還有毅力、續航力。此外，教育部青年署國際及體驗學習組副組長張春蓮則祝福小鐵人，在三天72小時中都可以發揮實力取得好成績。

In the opening ceremony of the 17th Intelligent Ironman Creativity Contest, NPUST’s vice-principal Chao-Lin Tuan mentioned that this context not only text student’s intelligence, but also  physical strength, perseverance and endurance. In addition,Youth Development Administration(MOE) International and Experiential Learning Division’s deputy director Chun-Lian Zhangblessing the students cando their best and get good grades in these days.

世新大學副校長陳清河提到中華古智慧「敬業樂群」，並期望小鐵人可以帶著這四個字迎接智慧鐵人創意競賽的種種關卡。此外，他也提醒參賽者，不要只在乎個人的體力與智慧，更重要的是團隊合作，該如何讓團隊發揮最大的實力、激發最大的潛力才是最重要的事。

Shih Hsin University’s vice-principal Qing-He CHEN mentioned the ancient Chinese wisdom“敬業樂群”,hoping students and bring these four words to stand up the changes. In addition, he also remind all the student in the opening ceremony, not to care personal ability only, teamwork is the most important after all. Let the team do their best and motivating potential is themost important thing.

緊接著的72小時不間斷的比賽，小鐵人必須克服種種困難，考驗團隊默契，相信小鐵人們將竭盡所能，並且在決賽中過程獲得許多意想不到的收穫。
