來自香港的隊伍《The LAB》,因為被過去學長姊為智鐵熱血奮鬥的模樣所吸引,也期待認識各個國家的選手及文化,抱著一顆學習及期待的心情來臺參賽。

《The LAB》 from Hong Kong is attracted by their seniors who had been fighting for the IICC. They are also looking forward to knowing the students and cultures of various countries, so they participate in the IICC with the hope of learning and expectation. Their school had also promoted, holding some similar competitions to select some teams to take part in.

隊伍中有成員已經是第二次參賽,有過智鐵經驗他認為,最重要的是小隊間需要同心協力、做好本分。為了這次比賽,《The LAB》也做了不少準備,商討戰術、賽前模擬、工作分配等通通計畫好,就是期望在這場競賽當中獲得好成績。

Some members of the team had already participated in the IICC for the second time. Through the experience, she said that the most key point is that the whole group need to work together and do their part. The LAB has also made a lot of preparation for this international competition to get good grades., such as discussing the tactics, simulating the contest, and deviding the works,.

香港隊指導老師郭綺珊已經有5年帶隊參賽經驗,總是期望孩子們能盡情享受比賽中的樂趣及挑戰,從中發現自己的長處和特點,並訓練他們利用創意來解決困難。此外,郭綺珊也期許這些學生不要只從書上獲取知識或解決問題的方式,在老師眼中,這群學生最令她驕傲的地方就是他們總能接納老師的建議並改進,讓自己每天不斷的進步。

The teacher of 《The LAB》 Guo Qi-Shan has led the teams to the IICC for 5 years. She always expects the students to enjoy the fun and challenges of the competition and to discover their strength and characteristics, training them to use creativity to solve difficulties. Besides, she hope them to change the habits that knowing everything only from the books. She’s proud of these students that they always accept the teacher’s advices and improve themselves, which makes them better and better every day.

因為比賽的機會來到台灣,香港的隊員也都深深喜愛這裡,也將雞蛋仔、咖哩魚蛋、燒賣、三寶等香港道地小吃介紹給各國隊伍。在為期5天的決賽過程中,除了有72小時不間斷的競賽,也讓小鐵人們都有更多機會接觸各國的隊伍,享受這場競賽的樂趣。(記者黃于庭、謝安然/採訪報導)

Because of the opportunity to come to Taiwan, Hong Kong players loved here very much. They also introduce the local snacks in Hong Kong to other national teams, such us eggette, curry fish eggs, shao-mai, and three treasures. During the five-day final, besides the 72-hour non-stop competition, they also have more opportunities to reach out to the national teams and enjoy the fun of the IICC.
