自然類關卡「空襲警報」以金門八二三砲戰為設計靈感，闖關過程中，每隔40秒就有一次40秒的空襲，空襲期間小隊員須躲到防空洞區，並利用有限時間解題排除障礙物，到達砲擊區以乒乓球攻擊指定目標。
The task of natural science “Air Raid Alarm” was designed based on The Second Taiwan Strait Crisis. There will be total 30 air-raids during the task, each of which lasts 40 seconds, and the inter-air-raid period between two air-raids is 40 seconds. If there is an air-raid, the team members should stay in the shelter. They have to use the limited time to sweep the mines and use the table-tennis balls to attack the targets.
「空襲警報」除了結合地科與數學知識，關主還特別加入40秒的空襲來考驗小鐵人的節奏感。小隊員不得攜帶手錶、時鐘等可計時物件，因此各隊伍都突發奇想利用不同方式來計算秒數。關主林承育表示，題目內在其實考驗的是小鐵人的節奏感，如何能夠穩定地計算一個節拍。在闖關過桯中，看到很多小隊有的是用算的、有的是用唱歌，還有人是用指揮的，都讓他覺得還蠻好玩的。
“Air Raid Alarm” combined the knowledge of geology and mathematics, the taskmaster also added a 40-seconds air raid to test their rhythm. Instruments that could measure time, such as watches and clocks, were forbidden in the task. Thus, each team had their own idea to measure time in different ways. “It was actually testing their rhythm, who able to calculate a tempo steadily. Some teams used calculation, some were singing. It was interesting. Someone was like a conductor,” said Cheng Yu Lin, the taskmaster of “Air Raid Alarm”.
《郝兼任助理教授》隊員魏士閎表示，這道關卡最難的地方在於每次從地雷區出來只有40秒，要來回，還要加上讀秒的誤差，所以通常沒辦法把題目看完、記完再走回去，每次最多只能帶一個題目回去，裡外的人如何互相溝通很重要。
“The most difficult part was we only had 40 seconds after we left from the minefield, and it would be inaccurate when you measured time. So we couldn’t read the full question in limited time, we just went back to the shelter with only one question. So it was important to communicate with the teammates outside,” said Wei,Shih-Hung, team member from “Part-time Assistant Professor Hao”.
為了讓麋鹿能夠順利運送台灣名產到指定國家，另一個自然類關卡「麋鹿不迷路」要求小隊員利用他們完全意想不到的材料—衛生紙，來製作運送裝置。
To let the reindeers deliver Taiwanese specialties to the countries successfully, another task of natural science “Reindeers Don’t Lost Directions”, required the team to use the unexpectedly materials “tissues” to create a delivery device.
關主鄭文蓉表示，國小的時候都會玩過衛生紙，用衛生紙拔河…..因此想要讓小隊員也體會怎麼樣讓衛生紙變成一個強韌的裝置，做出一個可以承載重物並運送到目標地方的裝置。
The taskmaster of “Reindeers Don’t Lost Directions” shared her idea of designing the task. Zheng Wen Rong said，“I played tissues when I was in elementary school, for “tug of war”. We wanted the team members to understand how to make the tissues a strong device. It would also make them felt wrong with tissues. Then will don’t know what to do with it at first. But at the end, they would understand its properties, then made the tissues into a strong device to carry heavy things to the destination”.
在有限時間內，二名隊員努力地把冰磚拼成相同面以獲得題目解答出相對應國家，另四名隊員則埋頭利用材料製作出強韌可運送的裝置。面對脆弱的衛生紙，許多小隊都束手無策，更有不少小隊直接把「麋鹿不迷路」歸類為「死亡關卡」。
Two players worked hard to put the boxes into same surface to get the answers for the corresponding countries in the limited time. The other four players struggled to make strong and transportable devices. Many teams were helpless with the fragile tissues, they thought the task of natural science finally became the task of physical fitness. Many teams also called it “deadly task”.
《PaperBike 再度逆襲》隊員許柏鈞表示，可能因為自己都是好孩子，沒有玩過什麼衛生紙丟在廁所牆壁之類的遊戲，所以對衛生紙沒有那麼了解。隊長林鶴哲則認為，這個關卡被稱為死亡關實在是實至名歸，並表示看到衛生紙自己就panic了。
“Maybe we all were good kids, we didn’t throw any toilet paper onto the toilet wall before.So we don’t know much about tissue,”said Hsu, Po-Chun, the team member from “PaperBike’s Retaliation”. “This task was really a “deadly task”,I was panic when I saw toilet paper,”said Lin,He-Zhe, the team leader from “PaperBike’s Retaliation”.
自然組關卡加入不少體其題元素，為小隊員的闖關過程增添許多難度與趣味，也讓他們留下愉快和難忘的回憶。（記者韋可琦、祝敏婷／世新採訪報導）
