智慧鐵人創意競賽於7月26日至7月30日在世新大學舉辦第十六屆決賽暨第十四屆國際邀請賽，而本次參與的國際隊伍更突破過去紀錄，包含日本、韓國、新加坡、尼泊爾、俄羅斯等11個國家，從初賽、複賽一路過關斬將的25支晉級隊伍，不但將與國際隊進行創意與智力的比拼，同時也是文化上的交流，開拓國際視野。
The 16th Intelligent Ironman Creativity Contest had eventually come to the final stage from 26th July to 30th July. There were teams from recording-breaking 11 countries attending IICC this year, including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Nepal, Russia, etc. There were twenty five teams stand out after the fierce competition over preliminaries and semi-final of the contests. They will not only compete with the international teams for creativity and intelligence, but also for cultural exchanges and open up international horizons.
教育部青年發展署副署長王育群表示，透過智慧鐵人創意競賽，參賽者們能夠發揮團隊合作的精神，運用跨領域學習能力將想法付諸於行動，也鼓勵破除傳統框架並發揮創意。而世新大學副校長陳清河則勉勵參賽者們，72小時決賽不但需要智慧，也考驗體力與毅力，尤其以創意更為重要，期許小鐵人們都能有亮眼的表現。
Deputy Minister of Youth Department Administration YU-CHIUN WANG said, through the competition, contestants can demonstrate team spirit, use the ability to cross multiple fields with knowledge to put ideals into action, and try to break through the traditional barrier to practice creativity. Shin Shin University Vice-President Dr. Ching-Ho Chen encouraged contestants that the competition not only tested wisdom, physical strength and perseverance but also creative, and expected everyone to have a excellent performance.
面對即將到來的競賽，在第十五屆國內技職組拿下冠軍的《Iron-men》，今年以《台南人騎虱目魚上學》再次挺進決賽，隊長沈亮妤表示以輕鬆心情看待，期望拿下好成績；另外，《波羅蜜多心經》隊長徐敏哲說：「還好呀，沒有很緊張。」用平常心面對挑戰。
Facing the upcoming competition, “Iron-men” who won vocational champion at 15th, changed the name to “Taiwan people ride Su mu you to school” and advanced to the finals again. The captain, LIANG-YU, SHEN said that they would look at it with a relaxed mood and expect to get good grades. In addition, “It’s ok.
