在開幕典禮上，來自智利的隊伍《CLC》表演獲得滿堂喝彩，歷經開幕前表演音樂的遺失、順利重置後卻不能播放的種種窘境，他們絲毫不退縮，落落大方的態度，十足展現他們穩健的台風。
The team which got full applause is Chile’s team CLC. They still showed nice and steady attitude on the stage after all the problem of music like the missing of USB and fail to play the music with the technical problem.
飛過太平洋來到台灣的他們，對每件事都充滿好奇。台灣的超市是他們最喜歡的地方，搜刮各式各樣的零食成為他們文化之旅的一大重點。然而提及參與智鐵比賽的原因，CLC成員們表示，除了競賽的知識性與趣味度外，他們也非常期待來到台灣這個在智利廣為人知的國家。
隊員Samantha就表示，台灣在智利有很高的知名度，擁有最棒的科技，是一個很棒的國家，她笑著說，能夠來到台灣是自己一生都是值得的事情。
Come over from Pacific Ocean to Taiwan, they feel curious about everything. What they like the most is the supermarket in Taiwan. And the reason of participate in IICC, they are not only attracted by the knowledge and interesting but also Taiwan is a famous country in Chile.”Taiwan is a famous country, at least in Chile. I know you have the best technology and the country is amazing. So I think the opportunity is worth for my life”, said Samantha, member of team CLC Taiwan is a famous country, at least in Chile. 在開賽之前，繁複的闖關規則、主軸題目的說明，都讓智鐵比賽新手的《CLC》感到非常緊張，身旁擁有眾多曾參與過競賽的對手，也讓他們感到擔心，然而，這些不安卻都在闖關之後消除殆盡，競賽也在他們眼裡被重新定義。隊員Maxi就表示，自己在闖關中，各狀態都漸入佳境，團隊也從中學習，分數也變得越來越高。另一位隊員Brain也說，關卡十分有趣，更具有知識性，讓他所學得以融會貫通。
As a beginner of IICC, being lack of experience and the complicated rules of task made them feel very nervous. But after they try is get over the task, the mood of nervous disappears, turn into the excitement, the meaning of IICC re-identify in their mind too. One of member in CLC shared, they were doing better and better, the task isn’s that hard anymore. Team member Brain also enjoy a lot in the task.
每次的闖關、主軸任務的每個細節都是《CLC》在台灣的回憶，所看所學也都將變成一個個特別的故事，由他們再帶回智利。（記者賴心樺、許芳瑄／台大採訪報導）
