虛擬實境新關卡 苦力怕累VR(All-new VR Task Stage “Finding Creeper VR”)
戴上VR眼鏡、手握遙控器,為了蒐集藏寶圖,小苦力們必須克服崎嶇的道路,抓緊闖關訣竅,才能勇奪高分。
Putting on VR goggles, holding the remote control. To collect pieces of treasure maps, the little creepers have to strive their way to overcome the VR challenge game.
《自信邊緣人・改》隊員趙奐凱表示,剛開始闖關時是手忙腳亂且不知所措,連基本的走路都有困難,到後來熟練之後,其實大部份的關卡,就變得很簡單。
Team “Revision of the Confident Loners”, member Chau, Huan-Kai says, “At first, it was really hard to control. We weren’t sure what to do it was difficult to even simply walk it was difficult to even simply walk it all became smooth and easy.”
《自信邊緣人・改》隊員鍾大方則說,左右手分開由兩個人擔任,其實是滿有趣的一個設計。兩個人要很有默契,同時又要聽中間戴頭盔人的指令,覺得藉由這個遊戲能訓練彼此間的合作能力,這樣其實滿有趣的。
Team “Revision of the Confident Loners”, member Chun, Ta-Fang says, “I think the idea of separating both arms by two players is a rather interesting design. Both players have to cooperate well enough to follow the orders from the center player. The VR game helps improve our teamwork skills. It was quite refreshing.”
銘傳數媒系協助 新型跨領域合作(MCU’s Digital Media Design on Tech-integration)
創新的闖關方式歸功於銘傳大學數位媒體設計學系的協助,由系主任章耀勳老師帶領學生團隊設計關卡所需界面,再由學生劉本郁撰寫程式完成這次關卡中的動畫,透過和關主多次討論和改良,創造出獨一無二且充滿挑戰性的VR實境。
With the all-new VR task stage. The Department of Digital Media Design, MCU, takes all the the credit. Led by Dean Chang, Yao-Hsun on graphics design with the help of student, Liu, Pen-Yu on programming and animation. The team was able to create a unique VR world with the cooperation of stage hosts.
銘傳大學數位媒體設計學系學生劉本郁表示,VR遊戲一直以來,大部份是以單人為主,但這次預計要做的是,需要四個人共同合作,才能完成的遊戲。我們主要需要的是一個VR頭盔,和三隻額外的把手、一人操控一個。劉本郁介紹模擬實境畫面提及,畫面中間是傳送點,角色只要到達那個地點,按下指定的按鍵,就能傳送到想要去的地方。
Liu, Pen-Yu, student of Digital Media Design Department, MCU, says “VR games are most commonly set to be single-player’s user interface. What we plan to design this time is a game that require 4-players to play. We’ll need one VR headset with three other remote controllers each player gets one. The object in the middle is our portal. When the player reaches the spot with a simple click on the button it’ll transport the player to another location.”
VR關卡殺出青路 團隊合作是關鍵(Teamwork: Key to Clearing the VR Challenge)
有人用力往上跳、有人順勢蹲下,以及左右兩側的隊員前後移動,站在九宮格中、仔細聆聽移動指令,倘若不注意,就有可能跌落禁區掉入岩漿而死亡,想要在VR實境殺出一條青路,就得仰賴良好的合作默契和團隊溝通。
Jumping, squatting down players on the sides moving back and forth listening carefully to orders in the 3×3 square. In a blink of an eye the player might fall into the lava and lose. The key to overcoming the VR challenge is nothing but teamwork all the way.
關主陳威竹介紹關卡中最主要的就是VR頭戴顯示器,戴上它就可以看到不一樣的世界,另外除了正常的手持式搖桿外,還有裝在背心上面的版本,讓小隊員有不一樣體其的體驗。對於小隊闖關表現,關主杜芳毅則說,希望他們能夠仔細地看題目,直直衝上去就會死掉,這就是不看題目的下場。
Chen, Wei-Jhu, host of task stage “Finding Creepers VR” says, “This is the VR headset you will enter a new world once wearing it. This is a normal analog a normal hand-held controller beside the regular ones, we attach one on the vest to bring the teams a new physical experience.” Tu, Fang-Yi, host of task stage “I hope they can read the instructions more thoroughly. If you sprint ahead, you’ll die for sure that’s what happens if you don’t listen.”

走進虛擬實境、看見新視界,「苦力怕累VR」結合時下正夯的新技術,打破傳統紙筆出題的方式,吸引不少隊伍前來一探究竟,也成為本次競賽中的一大亮點。(記者苗其宏、劉以羚/台大採訪報導)
