「怪獸電力公司」 創作發電機

第15屆智鐵競賽中唯一純實作的關卡「怪獸電力公司」,邀請小隊們成為毛怪與大眼仔的同事,研發風力及人力發電機,以解決怪獸世界缺電的問題。

The only implementation in 15th IICC, Monster Inc., will invite the team to become colleague with James Sullivan and Mike Wazowski. You will work out on both wind and human powered of turbines to fix the lack of electronic problem in Monster world.

每個進入關卡的小隊,都會由怪獸電力公司關主口中獲得關卡的懶人包,「歡迎來到怪獸電力公司,我們這關總共有70分鐘,分50分鐘一個階段,第二階段有20分鐘,然後我們前50分鐘要做一台風力發電機並且評分,後面20分鐘要把風力發電機改成人力發電機,得高分的要點就是要有高電壓跟穩定的輸出。」

Each team who took the task, will easily know how to get over the task from taskmaster, Welcome to Monster Inc., you need 70 mins in this task, 50 mins for wind-powered turbine, another 20 mins your wind-powered turbine convert into a human-powered turbine. 要短短50分鐘內做出發電機,時間分配上有撇步。關主鄭皓元給予小隊們建議, 在前面的十分鐘,討論要發電機的種類,並在關卡提供的商店中,端詳作品可行的材料,再來花費20-25分鐘來製作風力發電機。最後的15分鐘則是關鍵,用來測試自己的風力發電機,同時改進的缺失的地方。

Time management will be a deal when you in this task. Taskmaster of Monster Inc. Harry Cheng recommends that the first 10 mins for discussing what your team want to make. Then the team can try everything in the store here then spend 20-25 mins to make their project. And he also mentioned that the last 15 mins is important to test their project, make sure if it is working.

然而純實作的關卡讓不少小隊驚呼「與初賽雷同」,但關主們出題的用意則是希望小隊們可以盡可能地激發創意。

鄭皓元指出,實作關卡變化的方式很多元,不僅可以考驗小隊對於某個東西的知識外,還可以考驗他們發揮創意去設計東西。關主呂睿也指出,在過去的實作題中,小隊會拿到固定的材料,但在關卡中,他們卻必須自己選購,他笑著說,雖然大多數的小隊都有選擇障礙,但也因為如此,小隊們能做出更有有鑑別度的作品。

As a complete implementation task, some team think that it is similar to the first level of contest. But in this task, the team need to make more project during a shorter time. Also, an implementation task can stimulate the team’s creativity. Harry Cheng said, an implementation task can make in many kind of ways, not only a knowledge of one thing but also how they use their creativity and how to design. Another taskmaster of Monster Inc. Rui Lu also mention that the contest gave each team same materials, but let them choose by themselves here, He point, this can make more differences between each team.

測出鑑別度是實作關卡的一大特色,更是激發創意的最佳途徑,各小隊闖關的成績也往往出乎眾人意料之外,卻也帶給參賽者更多元的思考方式。(記者賴心樺、許芳瑄台/大採訪報導)
