再次挑戰！《WASEDA》席捲智鐵

開幕典禮上，在舞台熱情洋溢地跳著舞的是來自日本的隊伍「WASEDA」，6位成員中，只有隊長Shiho是第二次參賽，其他成員則都是第一次加入智慧鐵人創意競賽。

The team danced passionately on the opening ceremony is the team WASEDA from Japan. Most of the members of team WASEDA are first time participating for the first time except the captain Shiho.

隊長Shiho笑著分享，去年結束的時候沒有得獎又覺得很累，因此認為自己這輩子再也不會參與競賽！但她說，一旦和過去的隊友討論到上次的比賽，就會想到每個有趣的回憶，加上自己在網路上看到不少比賽的花絮與照片，便決定再次參賽。另一位隊員Ryogo則說，雖然是第一次參與比賽，但是他認為這個競賽真是「太好玩了！」每個知識都可以連結在一起，他認為「真是太酷了！」

Shiho shared, she didn’t win the prize last year, feeing so tired after the 72-hour competition, she thought she would never come back again. Shiho said, the reason she made to participate again is that, every time she discusses with her teammates last year, happy memories flashback, she decided to try again. Another team member Ryogo shared, though it is the first time to participate the game, he found it extremely cool and fun.

6位隊員中有熱舞社成員、啦啦隊員、足球隊員，各種肢體動作難不倒他們，此外他們在課外也參與不少科學、茶道與其他多元社團的課程與活動，平常的知識都得以在智鐵競賽中發揮長才。隊員Momoka表示，過去曾參與過不少科學競賽，來到這裡後，發現很多東西都可以彼此結合，而過去自己在口條上也有不少訓練，所以她認為，在競賽的主軸任務中可以有所表現。

The members of team WASEDA are talented. There are cheerleader, hip-hop dancer, and futsal player in the team, so they won’t be beaten by any physical tasks. Also they have learned a lot from many after-course activities, which let them able to show the knack in solving the questions. Team member Momoka said, she found many things can be combined with the science contest she used to participate in.

WASEDA的指導老師Handa Toru則是一位「台灣迷」，這次是他第27次拜訪台灣，而自2005年起，日本第一次參賽，Handa就擔任帶隊老師。他認為智慧鐵人創意競賽在世界上是非常特別且非常有趣的比賽，他指出，學生可以從中學習很多，例如很多的創造力與團結合作，他也說，在主軸任務中，學生們可以一起討論，並將作品完成，像這樣的合作對學生而言，是比賽中最大的收穫。

The teacher of team WASEDA, Handa Toru is a Taiwanholic, this is his 27^th time visiting. He has been the teacher for team Waseda since the first participating of team Waseda in 2005. He thinks IICC is the most unique competition he had ever experienced. He also pointed, the students can learn abilities of creativity and teamwork when they are completing their main project of the contest; this kind of cooperation, is the most treasurable experience for teenage students they can gain in the contest.

今年是WASEDA團隊第12年參與智慧鐵人創意競賽，年復一年都有新的日本學生前來比賽，但不變的是他們在競賽中所學到的團隊精神與各國學生建立的友誼。（記者賴心樺、許芳瑄／金門採訪報導）

This is team WASEDA’s 12^th year to participate, there are new Japanese students join year by year, but the friendship and the spirit of teamwork they made and learned in the contest and the teamwork they learned will last forever.
